A Passion for Fishing

I recently stumbled upon the story of how Johnny Morris, frustrated by the lack of fishing tackle in local stores where he lived, decided to start his own company.

Johnny Morris was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1948. His parents were hunters and fishers, shaping his life growing up near the Lake of the Ozarks and beginning the start of his passion for outdoor sports and camping. He graduated from Glendale High School, then staying in his hometown, enrolled at Drury University to major in business. He often jokes that he "majored in fishing" during his college years.
